Larisa Hrustek

Larisa Hrustek is a Senior Teaching Research Assistant at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics. She completed her PhD studies in Information Sciences and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled "Support of digital technologies to sustainable practices in the agriculture business for better adaptability to disruptions." She teaches at undergraduate, graduate, and professional study programs in the following courses: Operations Management, Organizational Performance Measurement, Digital Transformation, and Process Performance Management. She has actively participated in numerous international summer schools and Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) focused on sustainability, digital transformation, innovation, and business model improvement. Through these activities, she has further developed her interdisciplinary knowledge and competencies, while also establishing collaborations with international experts and researchers from various fields. She actively mentors students participating in sustainability-related competitions, supporting them in the development of innovative solutions to real-world environmental, social, and economic challenges. In addition, she serves as the organizer of the Global Goals Jam, an innovation event where multidisciplinary student teams collaborate to design creative and impactful solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She is the author and co-author of more than 40 papers published in scientific and professional publications, some of which she has presented at international and national conferences. As a researcher, she has actively participated in eight scientific or science-related projects, including projects funded through Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, and other programs, and she has also contributed to the preparation of several project proposals. She is a member of the Business Process Management and Digital Transformation Laboratory.
